Centerport Fire Department
Membership Information
The Centerport Fire Department is made up of approximately 90 dedicated men and women.
All of these individuals are your neighbors, they all live either in Centerport or in one of
the surrounding towns. The majority of them joined without any training. But with the training
that is fully provided by the Centerport Fire Department they have become highly skilled firefighters
and rescue personnel.
Want to join them. The Centerport Fire Department is always looking for new volunteers.
There is no need for prior training; we will provide all necessary training for free.
There are many different levels of involvement all with the same benefit of knowing that you are
making a difference in someone else’s life.
The Three Levels:
Firefighter – With optional Rescue – Must be at least 18 years old (17 with 2 years of Cadet experience).
Rescue Only – Must be at least 18 years old (17 with 2 years of Cadet experience).
Cadet – Must be between 13 and 18 years old. May join the Fire Department at 17.
