For the last 16 years the Centerport Fire Department Cadets have trained and drilled alongside the fire fighters in preparation for joining
the ranks of the department as full members. Several charter members of the cadets are still members of the fire department.
Our proud cadets drill just as if they were "in" the fire department. They have car fire drills, rescue squad drills, scuba/ice rescue drills, structural
fire fighting drills, and by the time they are sworn into the department they have had lots of experience with the apparatus. We as members
of the Centerport Fire Department fully support the great learning experiences that our Cadets receive.
